PURPOSE: The Legion of Mary is the glory of God through the holiness of its members developed by prayer and active co-operation in Mary’s and the Church’s work.

ABOUT THE LEGION OF MARY: The Legion of Mary is the largest apostolic organization of lay people in the Catholic Church with well over 3 million active members in most every country of the world.

Touched by the Holy Spirit the Legion of Mary gives Catholics an opportunity to do something positive for the church while at the same time deepening their spiritual life and strengthening their Catholic faith.

There are two branches of the Legion. The Auxiliary, this membership is open to Priest's, religious and lay people who wish to associate themselves with the Legion by undertaking a service of prayer in its name. The rosary is recited daily.

The Active member also includes the prayer life of the auxiliary membership but continues with work that includes door to door evangelization, parish visitation projects, weekly meetings and any other spiritual needs of the Parish and Community.

Any Catholic, any race, single, married or retired who would like to draw closer to Jesus and His Mother is welcome to give it a try. With Mary ’ s example and prayer, we ’ ll grow as disciples ever faithful to Jesus and ever wanting to reveal him.
