Leading people to an encounter with Christ that lasts forever!
Expressing our love of Jesus Christ through the Eucharist, enlightened by the Holy Spirit, and by living the will of the Father, we gather as one family, rich in culture and tradition, willing to share our gifts with all, and working together as we journey to the kingdom of God.
(published July 2015)
STEWARDSHIP - As an expression of discipleship rooted in a personal relationship with Christ through the Eucharist, we will, as good stewards, acknowledge, commit, respond, and cooperate in generously sharing our gifts and blessings with others for the sake of the kingdom.
FAMILY - We will make the faith relevant and meaningful for the family and offer a continued support system to assist families in growing and becoming more engaged in the faith.
CULTURAL DIVERSITY - We will come together as one body in Christ that respects, appreciates, acknowledges and celebrates the rich diversity of our parish that is manifested in persons of different race, cultural background, ethnicity, language, national origin, gender, age and disability.
SOCIAL JUSTICE - With great compassion, St. Bernard’s Parish will promote and advocate for the solidarity of a just society by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with the least of these. We will establish a Social Justice Committee that focuses on promoting the message and teachings of the church on various issues so that people can make informed decisions.
NEW EVANGELIZATION - We willingly invite the Holy Spirit to set our hearts on fire with the love of Jesus so that we will respond to our call as disciples to go out and proclaim the Gospel with a new ardor and enthusiasm.
SCHOOL - As a ministry of the parish, St. Bernard School will provide the highest quality academic education rooted in the gospel message of Jesus Christ. Parents as the primary educators of their children, together with staff as facilitators of learning, will all serve as role models who are fully engaged in their Catholic faith and the greater parish community.
YOUTH MINISTRY - We will invite and engage the youth and young adults of our parish into the life, mission and ministry of the Church.
ACCOMODATING GROWTH OF PARISH - We will continue to engage parishioners to prayerfully and financially support the development of an additional church at our Corral Hollow/Valpico location.
